About Bunutan

Bunutan (from bunot, to draw a name) is a random winner picker built for the way Filipino sellers actually run giveaways: you go live, viewers comment a keyword, and at the end of the stream you need to pull one name fairly and show your buyers that you did.

Why there is no login

Most comment pickers ask you to connect your Facebook account and then read comments through the Facebook API. That approach breaks constantly, and it only works for verified Business Pages with the right permissions. If you sell from a personal profile, a small page, or inside a private buy-and-sell group, those tools simply cannot see your comments.

Bunutan takes the opposite approach. You copy the comments and paste them in. That means:

• It works everywhere — personal profiles, private groups, IG Live, TikTok, even a list you typed by hand.
• Nothing is sent anywhere. Parsing, filtering and the random draw all happen inside your browser tab. There is no server, no database, no account.
• It cannot break when a platform changes its API. There is no API.

Who it's for

Live sellers of ukay, thrift finds, preloved bags, skincare, plants, jewellery — anyone who runs a comment-to-win giveaway and wants a clean way to prove the pick was random. It is also useful for teachers, group admins, and offices doing raffles.

What "provably fair" means here

Each draw generates a random seed in your browser. That seed decides the winning index. The seed, the number of valid entries and the exact timestamp are all shown with the result and baked into the image you can save — so you post proof, not just a name.
